Longmont Christian School is the premiere private school in Boulder County offering Pre-K through 12th grade and concurrent enrollment coursework through Colorado Christian University. LCS is a college preparatory school, meaning all coursework and extracurricular activities are designed and implemented with the goal of helping students graduate and enter collegiate studies.

Our teachers are experts in their fields. Our student athletes are state champions and Olympic contenders. Our alumni are PhD's, teachers, missionaries, pastors, lawyers, and parents (and everything in between). An education from LCS opens doors to the future for every child who calls our campus home during their educational journey.

Our mission:

The mission of Longmont Christian School is to provide a community of educators, students, and parents committed to excellence in academics, service, and biblical truth.

Our Motto:

We love God.
We honor others.
We value ourselves.

Our vision:

The vision of Longmont Christian School is to be the premier Christian school in northern Colorado with a strong reputation as an active and recognized advocate for the community.

Our Philosophy of Education:

We believe that a holistic Christian education means integrating worldly knowledge with the spiritual teachings of Jesus Christ. Only through education can children fully see and appreciate the miracles of God in every aspect and element of life. Education, therefore, deepens and strengthens our relationship with God.

We believe that a Christian education should be seen as a three-stranded cord with the parents, school, and church all playing integral roles in a child's cognitive, emotional, and spiritual development.

We believe that God created us to be interconnected with Him (spiritually), others (socially), ourselves (intellectually), and our world (culturally). Our students must receive training in all these areas in order for them to grow into the persons God designed them to be. We believe that providing academic excellence with a biblical worldview gives a young person the opportunity to live and serve successfully as an adult and a Christian.

Our Core Values:

  • Christ-Centered Community:

    • A new commandment I give you: Love one another; as I have loved you, so must you love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13: 34-35

  • Biblical Worldview:

    • The law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17

  • Excellence:

    • Whatever you do, work at it with your whole heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23

  • Integrity:

    • And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. Titus 2:7

Longmont Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national and ethnic origin in the administration of their educational or admissions policies, hiring, or other school-administered programs.

Longmont Christian School is a religious institution providing education in a distinctly Christian environment. Students do not have to be Christian or a particular denomination of Christian to attend LCS, but must understand and accept that all subjects are viewed through a Christian lens to develop the character and compassion taught by Jesus Christ. We believe it is our role is to work in conjunction with the home to develop Christ-like character in the lives of our students.

Private, Christian Education:

LCS is a private school, meaning we do not receive funding at the federal, state, or local level. Financial needs are met through tuition, fees, and fundraising. LCS strives to be an affordable option for parents seeking private education for their child, while also maintaining market-competitive rates that enable us to hire and maintain expert faculty and experienced staff, provide high-quality curriculum, challenging athletics, and a safe environment.

While LCS school is firmly established in Biblical principles, we are not affiliated with, nor receive financial support from a particular denomination.

LCS is governed by a volunteer board of directors who value education and their faith, and headed by an executive director

Parent partnerships:

LCS believes parents are children's' first and most important teachers, and equal partners in their child's scholastic and spiritual education. Parents are active in the school through volunteering, fundraising, and the Parent Teacher Organization. Please contact us to learn how you can become involved in the work of LCS.

LCS is fully accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

LCS is a community school. This means we actively engage with the community through volunteer efforts, partnerships, and fundraising events. If you'd like to become a partner or sponsor of LCS, please contact us.
